Mid life crisis? Or an opportunity to create?

Why is it that so many people get to a particular time in their life when all of their planning and priorities are turned on their head?

Think about it. How many people do you know who have reached a particular age or stage of their life when what was once important to them completely changes? Suddenly they are doing new things, perhaps they have a new job or career, they have new goals and are less concerned with what other people think of them. The man in his fifties who spends almost all of his money on a fancy sportscar. The business woman who walks away from her highly paying corporate job to be a full time artist. Society has conveniently labelled this time a 'mid-life crisis". But is this label completely undermining the important shift which is going on for this person at this time? How can we learn to embrace this "crisis" and see it for what it really is?

This change started to happen for me in my mid thirties - I was mostly happy with my life, but was starting to resent the fact that I had to work so damn hard and sacrifice so much to be able to maintain my lifestyle. I felt like a slave to the system! I knew I wanted to change the way we were living as a family - to be able to spend more time together, exploring new places and doing things we love! So I set out on a mission to explore other ways of mainitaining our lifestyle and making positive changes to encourage love for life and connection with others. And where do I find myself now? Surrounded by people who help me grow and thrive, who cheer me on and who I can be completely myself with! Because you're only as positive as the 5 people you hang out with most, right?

Perhaps it's time to reconsider your goals, dreams, lifestyle and who is in your closest circle. Because if you continue to do the same things, you're going to keep getting the same results. Figure out where you want to be, then create a roadmap to get you there! If not now, when?? You are able to achieve everything you want, if you are willing to keep learning and growing.

Go get it!
